由ToniChi所設計的ALTWATER坐落在底特律米高梅飯店內,專賣高檔海鮮美食,空間設計是關於如何呈現富饒海洋的意象,透過找尋一種轉譯的傳說中沉沒的亞特蘭提斯那種富庶而神秘的氣息。
當這種舊世界的魅力給予一種當代設計語彙的轉換,並透過細節的關注帶來了豐富的質感表現。這些空間元素以一種簡單方式組合放在一起,也展現了一種整體性連結,以呼應主廚Michael Mina烹飪哲學:運用最新鮮食材,烹煮出一道道忠於原味、獨特而美味的海鮮美饌。
The design for the seafood restaurant SaltWater in Detroit is about the celebration of the richness of the sea - finding a way to interpret the opulence and mystic of Atlantis.Such old world charm was then given a contemporary twist where attention to detail was placed on bringing together rich materials and textures.
These flavorful combinations put together in simple ways was also an overall attempt to capture the essence of Chef Michael Mina and the way he might combine his own materials.An illuminated swirling ceiling in rich mosaic tile reaches out into the casino floor to draw the viewer into the restaurant's depths seen through an unimpeded open glass facade.
